Lighting Products and Fixtures Design Ploi Sculptural Light by Jacqueline Mariana Thenu Ploi is a design that is inspired by the geometrical elements in folding technique and the folding characteristic. Instead of paper as a medium, the design uses wire gauze. The design has unique characteristic where the wire gauze creates translucent effect, then combine with the folding technique creates a harmonious pleat following the shape of the design. The folding techniques create the dynamic shape of the design, where it gives different shape and light from each side. This design shows the creativity of craftsmanship by combining material and technique to create a unity design.
