Lighting Products and Fixtures Design Hong Kong Christmas Tree 2015 Bamboo Installation by Mr Siu Kwok Kin Stanley The “Hong Kong Christmas Tree” featured with Hong Kong's traditional bamboo scaffoldings, upcycling of aluminium cans into twinkling stars co-created by thousands of secondary school students in Hong Kong. The sustainable design concept use Bamboo as the primary material with its unique property of high flexibility and durability. The design team also sought a group of students to take part in the production of the 50,000 shining stars out of aluminium cans. The installation displayed at the Tsim Sha Tsui Waterfront as the tallest Christmas tree in Hong Kong.
